Best Credit Card Offers

If you love to travel (and want to do it for almost-free!), having the right travel credit card in your wallet can make a huge difference. From lucrative welcome bonuses to valuable perks like airport lounge access and travel insurance, the best cards help you earn and redeem points efficiently. Let’s break down the best travel credit card offers currently available.

Chase Sapphire Preferred® & Sapphire Reserve®

If you don’t have one of these two cards yet, you’ll definitely want to grab one as soon as you can. These two cards are favorites among travelers for good reason:

  • Chase Sapphire Preferred®: This card offers a generous sign-up bonus (often 60,000+ points) after meeting minimum spending requirements. Points transfer to valuable travel partners like Hyatt and United, making them incredibly versatile. Plus, the annual fee is a reasonable $95.
****Currently, there is a great offer of 75,000 points available for this card!
  • Chase Sapphire Reserve®: This card has recently gone through a refresh! If you travel frequently, the Reserve might be worth the hefty $795 annual fee. You’ll get a $300 annual travel credit, Priority Pass lounge access, and elevated earning rates on travel and dining. There are also tons of other credits which more than offset the annual fee, if the credits make sense for your lifestyle.
****Currently, there is an all-time high offer of 125,000 points available for this card!

Chase Ink Business Cards

If you’re eligible for business credit cards, you’ll want to get one of each of these cards relatively early on in your journey. With no, or low, annual fees, you’ll get a boatload of valuable Chase Ultimate Rewards points. These cards don’t currently have an elevated offer, but they are always a solid choice for a good travel business card.

  • Ink Business Preferred®: One of the best business cards for travel, offering a hefty bonus (often 100,000 points), 3x points on travel and select business categories, and cell phone protection.
  • Ink Business Cash®: A great card with 5x points in several valuable categories, including office supply stores, streaming services, and cell phone service. With no annual fee, this is a great keeper card.
  • Ink Business Unlimited®: These no-annual-fee options offer great earning potential—1.5% cash back on all purchases (converted to Ultimate Rewards points when paired with a Sapphire card) and solid welcome bonuses.

Capital One Venture X

This is another key card to get early in your points and miles journey. The Capital One Venture X has made waves with its high-value perks. It offers a 75,000-point sign-up bonus, unlimited 2x miles on purchases, 10x on hotels and rental cars through Capital One Travel, and airport lounge access (including Priority Pass and Capital One Lounges). With a $395 annual fee but a $300 annual travel credit and 10,000 anniversary miles, this card can be a fantastic deal for frequent travelers. Capital One can be a bit inquiry sensitive, so I’d recommend applying for this card when you don’t have many recent credit inquiries.

Current Elevated Offers

Here are some other great cards that currently have an elevated offer. If one of them lines up with your travel plans, this could be a perfect time to grab it!

  • Southwest Rapid Rewards Plus Credit Card: This card has a $99 annual fee, which is NOT waived for the first year. If you fly Southwest Airlines a couple times a year, the standard seat selection and free checked bags (for you and up to 8 people in your party!) will be a huge benefit. This card has a HUGE welcome offer of 100,000 points right now, which is very close to the 135,000 necessary to earn a Companion Pass.
  • Chase Sapphire Reserve Business Card: This welcome offer of 200,000 points is the largest we’ve seen for a Chase card! It does require a $30,000 spend in 6 months, so if that’s a fit for your business, you’ll want to take advantage of this huge offer. The $795 annual fee is offset by a number of credits, such as a $300 travel credit, $25 in DoorDash credits, $200 Ziprecruiter credit, $200 Google Workspace credit, $100 Giftcards.com credit, and more!
  • Delta Gold Business Card: I don’t typically recommend Delta cards, but the Delta Business card is a keeper for me. The $150 annual fee (waived for the first year) is offset by a $150 Delta Stays credit. The card offers a free checked bag for you and 4 companions traveling on your reservation. And it’s got an elevated offer right now of 90,000 miles after spending $6,000 in 6 months. Delta SkyMiles might not be as valuable as other currencies, but I’ve found some good uses for them.

Which Travel Credit Card is Right for You?

Choosing the best card depends on several factors. If you’re just starting on your points and miles journey, you’ll want to go with one of the beginner cards mentioned at the beginning of this post. If you’ve been doing this for a while, you may be interested in a co-branded card or one with an elevated offer. You’ll always want to consider if your 5/24 status will be affected by the new card you plan to apply for.
